“When you lose a child, it hurts more than anything,” Billie explains.

Losing a loved one is a difficult event that most would rather not have to endure – especially the loss of a child. In their new book, “The Spiral Notebook: How Our Life Changed for Ever” (published by AuthorHouse) Billie K. Bettis and Terry W. Bettis share the powerful and surprising diary of Billie K. Bettis as she chronicles the pain of losing their son in 1984.

“When you lose a child, it hurts more than anything,” Billie explains.

Billie was seeking a way to sort through her emotions and at the same time writing in her diary was what she needed – her outlet to cry out and try to deal with the emotional events that sometimes get worse rather than better.

Her diary sat idle for years in a trunk and with it her heart, feelings and emotions. The dust-covered spiral notebook was never known nor revealed to anyone, until her husband, Terry, discovered it.

What was revealed inside will be alarming and eye opening for all readers.

“There is hope in healing,” Billie says.
