SDR Ventures, Inc., a Denver-based investment banking firm, proudly sponsored the 13th annual Colorado CEO Forum on September 25th, 2012. This year the conference hosted nearly 400 CEOs of Colorado companies at the Seawell Grand Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.

SDR is honored to co-sponsor the Colorado CEO Forum which has been providing educational programming to presidents and CEOs across the Front Range of Colorado for the past 13 years. This annual event brings together Colorado’s top executives to network, share information and obtain practical knowledge on best practices for operating businesses.

The keynote speaker this year, Herb Meyer, host and producer of The Siege of Western Civilization and former special assistant to the Director of the CIA during the Reagan administration, gave an insightful global intelligence briefing on international trends in politics, economies and business cultures.

Meyer’s speech entitled “What in the World is Going On?,” focused on outlining three major factors that are changing the economic balance of the world: Middle Eastern religions in the 21st century, expansion of the middle class around the world, and decreased birth rates among First World countries. With fewer people having children and an aging population our economy will face unique economic, political and social challenges related to shifting demographics. Moreover, companies that can provide clever, inexpensive and green products and services will succeed in the future.

What does all this mean for the future of businesses? If you would like to hear more from Herb Meyer’s presentation or get information on 2012’s Colorado CEO Forum, please click here to access video of the event.

SDR is already looking forward to next year’s event, the 14th annual Colorado CEO Forum, in fall 2013.
