The Raymond and Miriam Klein JCC is proud to announce the program schedule for Philadelphia’s 1st annual Forever Young+ Health and Wellness event on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown.

Featuring local and national physcians, wellness practitioners, therapists, educators, authors, and chefs, Forever Young+ will also feature health and wellness guru Dr. Andrew Weil along with other guest speakers who will discuss many topics geared towards better physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Designed to educate, empower, and entertain, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Einstein physicians, participate in a wide variety of yoga and fitness classes, watch cooking demonstrations, and hear expert speakers discuss topics ranging from better sex, sleep, or golf to mindfulness, stress reduction, fall prevention, plant-strong eating, and other important topics for adults from ages 25 and up.

“Forever Young was envisioned as an event where the public could benefit from access to a diverse program of valuable health and wellness information. Proceeds from Forever Young support social services provided by the Klein JCC to more than 30,000 persons from 2 to 102. Klein JCC is Philadelphia’s largest senior center, with an on-site wellness center, so the mission of Forever Young is closely aligned with Klein JCC’s: to promote healthier, happier lifestyles,” said Toby Strogatz, Founder of Forever Young+.
Forever Young is supported by lead sponsor Einstein Healthcare Network, as well as generous donations from Aetna, Independence Blue Cross, McGladrey & Pullin, Dwell Apartments Cherry Hill, Boca Executive Realtors, Global Impax Laboratories, Health Advocate, Kaplin Stewart, P.C., Tompkins Insurance, AARP, Firstrust Bank, Kay Lighting, Keylife Solutions, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, Riley, Riper, Hollin & Colagreco, UBS Wealth Management, and Oragenics.
In addition to these dynamic programs, Forever Young offers a rare opportunity to hear Dr. Andrew Weil speak at the Forever Young Luncheon, beginning at 11:45 am, where he will address Integrative Medicine, the Mind/Body Connection, and the Future of Health. A $200 ticket for the Forever Young Luncheon includes general admission for the whole event, a signed copy of Dr. Weil’s newest book, True Food, a chance to win a fabulous four-night vacation for two to Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts, and much more! Seating is limited; Luncheon tickets must purchased in advance at http://www.foreveryounghealth.org.

Dr. Weil will also discuss Healthy Aging at 2:30 pm; this presentation is included in General Admission, along with the other educational sessions, classes and interactive demonstrations.
