The Elect Michael Williamson campaign today announced the endorsement of the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), Riverside Sheriff’s Association (RSA) and the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) – San Bernardino/Riverside Chapter
The LAPPL said, “Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that the Los Angeles Police Protective League Board of Directors met and voted overwhelmingly to endorse you in your election bid for the 42nd Congress District of California in the 2012 General Election.”
“Your long ties to the community and experience in the LAPD enable you to best understand California's unique law enforcement needs. Because of your commitment to effective law enforcement and meaningful criminal justice reform, the members and supporters of the LAPPL strongly endorse your candidacy for Congress.”
The RSA said, “On behalf of the Riverside Sheriffs' Association (RSA), which represents more than 3,200 Deputy Sheriffs, Correctional Deputies, D.A. Investigators, Probation Officers and Deputy Coroners, nearly the entire Criminal Justice team of the County of Riverside, it is my pleasure to announce the RSA's endorsement of your candidacy for election as Representative for the United States 42nd Congressional District. Your staunch commitment to public safety and law enforcement concerns, along with your devotion to community service, has made our decision an easy one.”
The NLPOA – San Bernardino/Riverside Chapter said, “The chapter has approved your endorsement. We believe you are, by far, the best candidate. You long and strong commitment to public safety and law enforcement concerns, along with your devotion to community service, ensured the endorsement and will ensure your future success.”
“I'm honored to accept the support of the endorsements from professional police organizations that serve thousands of law enforcement officers locally. Their members are working on the front lines to protect California and Riverside County families from harm," said Williamson. "This election is all about building an economy that works for everybody. That's why bringing good-paying jobs to the Inland Empire will be my top priority on Day 1. I'm excited about working together to ensure that Riverside County working families form the basis of a strong and growing middle class.”
