The judging panel included veteran tech leaders from Facebook Seattle, University of Washington Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Isilon Systems division of EMC, Washington State Department of Commerce, Madrona Venture Group and Corum Group.

Nominations in 12 categories were submitted by companies from across the state of Washington. Categories ranged from mobile to marketing to enterprise computing.
