PrintUI announced today the introduction of EasyPrintUI, a “fast start” version of its powerful Web-to-print platform for printers, graphic design agencies, and enterprise marketing departments that do not require e-commerce integration.
The PrintUI platform, announced earlier this year, is an InDesign-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering created by a team of former Adobe executives and InDesign experts. PrintUI offers an easy Web-based way for nonprofessional users to customize and print a broad array of professionally designed digital and print collateral, such as retail store signs, advertisements, product collateral, business cards, and invitations.
Like the PrintUI Professional, the e-commerce-based version of the service, EasyPrintUI uses native Adobe InDesign files as the starting point for a full-featured, Web-based system for secure print customization and ordering. EasyPrintUI adds the ability to create and manage client accounts and manage job submission, approval, and completion. Authorized users may log in, select and customize print jobs, based on their own InDesign templates. The results can be either print-ready PDF or native InDesign files.
Unlike PrintUi Professional, EasyPrintUI does not require internal IT staff or integration charges associated with e-commerce solutions. EasyPrintUI involves a modest setup fee and a monthly charge thereafter, starting at $99. For all versions of EasyPrintUI, a client can be up and running within hours of signing up for the service.

The system’s use of InDesign from the design stages to document generation is also a big plus. “Our clients are professional users of InDesign. It’s their tool of choice. They would like to offer a service that puts their designs safely in the hands of their clients for input and editing of text and imagery. However, with EasyPrintUI, their clients don’t need to know how to use InDesign itself.” Hilton said.
PrintUI’s Professional version offers integration with a wide variety of e-commerce solutions, such as Magento and XCart. PrintUI is also at the heart of a growing number of partner solutions, providing additional functionality like custom workflow and print inventory management.
