Superbreak, the weekend breaks expert, has created more ways for customers to enjoy and experience London on a budget this Autumn by expanding its range of London attraction and package based deals.
Recent additions to the firms’ London for Less offer, which includes a two night hotel stay in a choice of central London hotels and a free dining or sightseeing ticket from £93 per person, are already proving popular amongst customers. Free gifts added to the programme include entrance tickets to Hampton Court Palace and the Banqueting House, as well as the Sherlock Holmes Tour of London, the Beatles Walking Tour and the London Film & TV Walk. Superbreak hopes that these exciting new additions will offer customers more choice, inspiration and value for money on their next London short break.
For those celebrating an occasion, the York based tour operator has acquired a number of new hotel and attraction break packages, including the Shard, which is due to open in early February 2013 and the EDF London Eye Champagne flight offering panoramic views across the London skyline. However, the Harrods Champagne Tea & Vintage Bus Tour has drawn much attraction, accounting for almost 30% of online London attraction break revenue last month. The tour offers a ride on the Harrods vintage tour bus taking in the main London sights, a Thames river cruise and champagne afternoon tea in the Georgian Restaurant of Harrods from £89 per person with a hotel stay included.
Last week, the tour operator also introduced a new hotel deals under £50 per person campaign to appeal to the budget-conscious traveller. Included in this, are a number of London based hotels with many including breakfast. As with most bookings, customers can choose from a wealth of sightseeing tours, dining options and even return rail tickets from any UK mainland rail station at the end of their booking to tailor make their own short break.
London continues to be a key destination for the short break tour operator with thousands of customers taking advantage of the ‘For Less’ package deals. Sales for 2011 show an uplift leading up to key holiday and school half term periods, with the free dining options including PJs Bar & Grill and Planet Hollywood the most popular freebies amongst Superbreak customers. Trends for 2012 follow in a similar vein with many customers choosing the free Hi-Life Diners Club Card worth £49.95, Wizard of Oz tickets and royal related sightseeing tickets including the Queen’s Gallery and the Royal Mews.
Chris Hagan, Head of Overseas, Transport and Ancillaries Product at Superbreak, commented: “By working closely with all of London’s major attractions we are able to negotiate significant benefits for our customers from great prices to fast track entry which can make a huge difference to those on a short break allowing them to pack more in. We are particularly pleased with our London for Less offering with new additions such as Banqueting House offering customers taking up the deal a wide choice of free attraction tickets or meals. We intend to continue to develop this product over the coming months with some exciting new options on the cards”.
