According to a recent study released by the Michigan Deer Crash Coalition (MDCC), in Michigan, in 2011, there were 53,592 car-deer accidents, down from 55,867 crashes in 2010. In 2011, eight people were killed in vehicle-deer crashes and another 1,464 suffered serious injury.
