Wayne County, MI (PRWEB) October 05, 2012

Wayne County Treasurer Raymond J. Wojtowicz announced today that his office will hold its second online tax-defaulted property auction of 2012; http://www.bid4assets.com/WayneOct32. Bid4Assets, the leading provider of online tax foreclosed county property auctions, will host the auction, after facilitating the sale of 22,504 properties in the first online tax sale of 2012 and generating over $48M in recovered taxes for the treasurer’s office for the 2010 and 2011 sales.

The online auction will be open for bidding on Friday, October 19th and close Thursday, October 25th, with starting bid prices as low as $500 for the 19,903 tax-defaulted properties being auctioned. The available properties can be viewed online at http://www.bid4assets.com/WayneOct32, and include real estate in Detroit, Highland Park, Inkster, Dearborn, Canton and other cities and townships of Wayne County. Interested buyers must register online and submit a deposit prior to bidding in the amount of $500, which is due by Friday, October 12th. Individuals who are unable to access the Internet, can contact Bid4Assets toll-free at 1-877-4ASSETS to request an off-line bid form.

In this second round of tax-defaulted property auctions, all the minimum bids will be set at $500, which helps to recoup the amount of taxes, penalties, and other costs owed to the County. The auction winner will be determined by the highest bid received, as these auctions carry no reserve price.

“Holding our tax sales online not only help to save the County time and resources, but helps to stabilize Wayne County by reducing the number of vacant properties. By offering these properties at a minimal price, we bring home ownership in to the reach of many” said Treasurer Wojtowicz.
