Lorna Kleidman, fitness expert and creator of the resistance training program KettleX, responds to an article published by Business 2 Community regarding the health advantages of weight training.

On October 10th, kettlebell expert Lorna Kleidman reacts to an article published by Business 2 Community concerning the numerous advantages to resistance and weight training.

The Business 2 Community article affirms that weight training has incredible health advantages that will benefit the body during as well as after training. According to the article, “Regular physical exercise is essential for weight control and maintenance, and resistance training is an important part of the mix. Muscle tone, strength and bulk contribute to a more efficient metabolism. A faster calorie burn reduces body fat and increases lean body mass.” Business 2 Community states that the metabolism can be stimulated through moderate weight training, explaining that “[s]upervised programs have been shown to benefit people with metabolic syndrome, a group of symptoms that include overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and glucose intolerance.”

Additionally, Business 2 Community reveals that resistance training improves emotional health as well, aiding to decrease anxiety.
