Version 2.5 illustrates who makes content changes when, and from which workstation

NetWrix Corp., a highly specialized provider of IT infrastructure auditing and compliance, announced Version 2.5 of its highly acclaimed SQL Server Change Reporter – a component of NetWrix Change Reporter Suite – featuring an auditing component that shows which user(s) made changes to database content as well as when, where and from which workstation the changes were made.

Here’s What Else is New:

  •     Configurable record, row and column content auditing including before and after values;
  •     SQL job change auditing, tracks changes made to jobs, job steps and job scheduling;
  •     Permission change auditing for tables, views, stored procedures and functions; and,
  •     Improved report delivery, including new CSV format and pre-delivery compression options

Powered by AuditAssurance™ technology, NetWrix SQL Server Change Reporter audits and reports changes made to SQL Server configuration, databases, permissions and other objects. It also tracks changes to SQL server instances, users, roles, logins, schema changes and other types of objects.

“NetWrix SQL Server Change Reporter not only does a commendable job in tracking, storing and reporting detailed information about changes made in a SQL Server environment, Version 2.5’s enhancements further strengthen the system’s capabilities in numerous ways, including permission change auditing for tables, views, stored procedures and functions,” said SQL Server Pro Magazine’s Robert Pearl.

Notably, if an application’s data, such as CRM or ERP, is stored inside the SQL Server, SQL Server Change Reporter Version 2.5 now allows users to see changes to both administrative settings as well as to the data itself. Available in Enterprise and Freeware editions, the system’s consistent auditing and reporting ensures compliance with such regulatory and security requirements as GLBA, SOX, HIPAA and PCI. A free 20-day evaluation of the Enterprise edition is available.

"The release of NetWrix SQL Change Reporter 2.5 is another milestone in our delivering unified auditing for critical IT systems,” said Bob Bobel, director of product management. “Our solution combines the best elements of more expensive SIEM solutions, and features the strikingly efficient deployment for which NetWrix is known. In addition to the affordability of our products, the fact that we do not require dangerous or intrusive agents resonates extremely well with new customers and even better with customers who have suffered the pitfalls of another vendor’s 'solution'.”

Available individually, or as part of an integrated Change Reporter Suite, NetWrix SQL Server Change Reporter Version 2.5 automates auditing of the entire IT infrastructure.
