Baltimore is a city with so much soul and personality

Helen Metaferia, the owner of two of Baltimore’s favorite places to dine, socialize, and dance Eden's Lounge & E-Villa, wants to send out an invite to international and national investors to come to see what Baltimore has to offer. “Baltimore is a beautiful city and every entrepreneur should have their eyes set on Baltimore because Baltimore is the next hot bed for investment,” says Helen.

Helen invested in property in Midtown Baltimore in 2004 and has seen much improvement in the city since then. “Baltimore is a city with much soul and personality” says Helen. She also says she is happy to be part of the building process.

Helen resides in both Baltimore and Washington D.C. metro areas. Helen watched as Washington DC went from being the nation’s murder capital to being one of the nations most thriving cities.

Helen is now a citizen, but she came to America from Ethiopia. She has lived in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Baltimore. She recalls when Washington DC was a very dangerous city and people were just starting to invest in DC. Now Washington DC is the preferred city in the world for foreign investment. With the improvements Baltimore has made so far, there are no limits to where Baltimore could go from here.

Helen’s favorite neighborhood in Baltimore is the multicultural Mt. Vernon in Midtown Baltimore. She says it reminds her of Greenwich Village in NYC. She also loves the new Harbor East, Canton, Fells Point, Inner Harbor, and other neighborhoods.

Also with new projects like the new Baltimore Arena (NBA & NHL) ready and the new Baltimore Harrah Casino, Helen is very excited about the future of Baltimore.

Also, if you are interested in importing and exporting, there are only two ports, on the east coast, currently able to receive shipments from the super-sized freighters once the Panama Canal Expansion is complete in 2014; Baltimore is one of them.

Baltimore is also a 20 minute Amtrak train ride away from Washington DC and a two and a half hour Amtrak train ride from NYC. So the location is perfect for entrepreneurs that need access to the other major cities on the Atlantic Coast.

Helen would like to invite investors to Baltimore, show you around, and of course eat dinner at her restaurant/lounges Eden’s Lounge & E-Villa in beautiful Midtown Baltimore. Feel free to contact her at he@edenslounge.com or on twitter @HelenEdensBmore.
