North Mankato, Minn. (PRWEB) October 06, 2012
After a month of blood, sweat and unicorn tears, the Ultimate Halloween Costumes have finally arrived. HalloweenCostumes.com offered the opportunity for up-and-coming costume designers to turn their imaginative ideas into actual costumes. Costume designers from all over the U.S. submitted more than 100 creative sketches and the professional design staff at HalloweenCostumes.com determined the best candidates based not only on their sketch and description, but also on their ability to transform their vision into reality.
Each participant received $300 for fabric and supplies to create their costume and send it back to Halloween headquarters in less than a month. The design staff at HalloweenCostumes.com will choose the top three costumes based on creativity, attention to detail, production quality and overall aesthetic appeal. The grand-prize winners will receive cash prizes of $2,000, $1,000 and $500. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Site visitors have the chance to bid on these unique costumes through a live auction on HalloweenCostumes.com October 12–19. All proceeds minus a five-percent handling fee will go directly to the artist. The auction also provides site visitors the opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind handcrafted costume, just in time for the 2012 Halloween season.
