The Energy Advocates, one of the host sponsors for the 2012 International Energy Policy Conference (IEPC), is proud to announce the recipients of the 2012 Energy Advocate of the Year Awards.
The Awards are given annually at the IEPC (http://www.energypolicyconference.com) and are recognition of outstanding service and/or efforts within and for the American energy industry.
The three-day conference [IEPC] will be held in Oklahoma City and in Norman on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. The conference begins on October 25th in Oklahoma City and has events in Norman on the 26th with closing day back in Oklahoma City on the 27th.
The 2012 Energy Advocate of the Year Award winners are:
INDIVIDUAL: Jerry Simmons
CORPORATE: Sandridge Energy Corp.
LIFETIME: Sherman E. Smith, C.Hubert Gragg
JOURNALISM: Houston Chronicle
CITIZEN: The Chickasaw Nation, Governor Bill Anoatubby
ASSOCIATION: American Association of Professional Landmen
A special award presentation of the IEPC Conference Founder/Chairman’s Award will be given to The Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs organization for their many years of service to the energy industry.
The awards will be presented at the Conference Awards Dinner on Friday, October 26th, 2012 at the Sam Noble Museum located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
