Graduate Programs LLC, the parent company of graduateprograms.com, is happy to announce that more than 2,500 graduate students have used the site to rate & review their respective graduate programs.
“Many grad students are anxious to share their experiences,” said Graduate Programs CMO, Samantha Karageorge. “As an extra incentive, we are offering a $1,000 Graduate School Scholarship for those who participate. Drawings will be held quarterly. The initial response has been terrific.” Following are examples of some of the comments posted on the site.
Alovejoy91at University of Virginia (Business) wrote, “I have loved being a graduate student at UVA. It is an outstanding school. The environment is excellent for growth in schooling, personal development and making lasting friendships. The University Career Services does an amazing job of bringing recruiters to campus and helping students achieve their goals and dreams by attaining the right first jobs.UVA has helped me to grow and mature as a person and as a professional. I am pleased to be a WAHOO!”
Koen at Saint Louis University (Sciences) wrote, “I'm in SLU's biomedical research program. Although my lab is excellent and the faculty are helpful and available, my overall impression of SLU is not great. There's very little social interaction, even within departments. There's incredibly little support for career choices outside of the standard research track. Many of the graduate level courses I took here at SLU were actually at a lower level than the undergraduate courses that I took elsewhere.”
Kmarsh at American University (Communications) wrote, “American University is a great school if you are looking for something close to DC that still has a campus feel. The school offers great career advising and internship opportunities, free technology courses and resources, a number of social clubs to get involved in and weekly campus events ranging from film screenings to diversity seminars. What impressed me most, is that my professors work professionally in the field as well as teach. They are a wealth of knowledge and a valuable resource.”
The Graduate Programs website also offers Graduate Schools the opportunity to post pictures of their campuses and upload videos of their programs. Sometime in early 2013, students will also have the ability to post their pictures or an avatar of themselves along with their comments.
Graduateprograms.com is also an invaluable resource for prospective graduate school students, who have access not only to general information regarding a wide variety of graduate schools and programs, but to thousands of ratings and reviews written by their peers - current and recent graduate students.
