All workshops are meant for an adult audience only. Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge is an Educational Psychologist and Neurofeedback Practitioner, with over 15 years experience diagnosing and treating children with learning differences.

What to do When School Says “NO”
This presentation will focus on how to navigate the special education process when advocating for your child, including a discussion on your right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). Included in this discussion will be the common pitfalls in the IEP process when attempting to resolve decisions about eligibility, evaluations, services and placements, tips about what to do when schools say “no” and ways to resolve disputes. This workshop will focus on the various services offered by The Body's Wisdom in Southbury, CT, with a discussion led by owner and Occupational Therapist Tamara Kichar-Barry, OTR/L. She will present on CranioSacral Therapy, Auditory Integration Training, the “LiL Learners” Mommy and Me Preschool Prep Program, Academic Tutoring that combines movement and learning, and Animal Assisted Occupational Therapy.
