Standing out as one most innovative company of travel industry, David Urmann CEO of Touristlink will be attending the Distilled Intelligence 2.0 Pitch Competition for Start Up projects, which will take place on October 11th and 12th in Washington D.C.

Presented by and Microsoft as founding fathers, the Distilled Intelligence Competition is an important event to promote Start Ups companies and energize them as well to find new investors. More than 100 companies from around the globe will participate during the two days in this event competing for 100.000 dollars. Touristlink will be at second day of this event.

“In less than two weeks, Touristlink has successfully performed in two important Start Up competitions in the Americas. It reflects the level achieved for the company in the recent months. Actually we are expanding our operations in Latin America so our participation in these events is essential to be known as a company”, said David Urmann, CEO and co founder of Touristlink.

Since October 2011, more than 27 million dollars has been invested in the first version of the Distilled Intelligence Competition (DI 1.0) favoring the creation of new companies and jobs.

Meanwhile, Touristlink continues expanding its operations in the Latin American market, offering new travel options and connecting travelers with local people in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. For the next days, the company prepares the launch the Portuguese version of its website, focused mainly in the Brazilian travelers. The Spanish version was launched just a few days ago.
