NEW YORK (PRWEB) October 08, 2012
WHAT: Learn about new and emerging energy-efficient technologies for data centers at day two of the Green Data Center Conference & Exhibition. Peter Feldman and Jack McCall present on The New "Green" in Data Center Technology.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:20 p.m. PT
WHERE: Santa Clara Convention Center
5001 Great America Parkway
Santa Clara, CA 95054
WHY: Multiplying daily from text messaging, emails, financial transactions, interactive gaming and cable TV, data traffic is requiring more from data centers and consequently more from the power grid – challenging the industry to deliver more power in a more energy-efficient manner. Peter Feldman and Jack McCall will discuss technology innovations including advancements in cogeneration and new high-power, low voltage direct current (LVDC) superconductor power cables that are setting apart the newest generation of data centers. Central to the discussion will be innovations such as the first planned application of LVDC cables in a data center, engineering and installing a CCHP plant in an urban environment, and using virtualization to determine and test a facility’s energy efficiency in its initial development phase.
