Lawyer and Paralegal Association Websites to Host Legal Vendor Search Box

What Trip Advisor has done for the American traveler, MyLegal.com has done for the legal profession. MyLegal.com is the go-to resource for lawyers and their teams to find professional service providers around the globe. The resource is more than a directory: listings include ratings and reviews, as well as exclusive discounts that offer valuable cost savings on services to lawyers and law firms.

Today MyLegal.com unveils major changes to its website, including a platform that allows for simple text searches to find any type of product or service geared to the legal community. It also allows the user to filter searches for only those vendors whose listings include ratings and reviews or only those offering a discount. Another of the key additions to the newly designed website is the integration of Google Places, which provides law firms with a virtual universe of service provider options using a familiar search box and results that make it easy to find the most qualified vendor for their needs.

New CEO has strategic vision for the future
In addition to the site enhancements, Lisa DiMonte, principal, has named former Vice President of Business Development, Kathy DiLorenzo, as its new chief executive officer. DiLorenzo has been with the company from its inception and has more than 30 years of experience in the legal space. Says DiMonte, “Kathy and I have collaborated on this project since day one. She has played a key role in the strategy, growth and success of this business, and she has the vision to take MyLegal.com to the next level.”

New affiliate program provides expanded access
The company also announces the formation of the MyLegal.com Affiliate Program. Lawyer and paralegal associations provide convenient member access to the vendor directory by placing the MyLegal.com vendor search widget on the association website. “The Affiliate Program is the cornerstone of MyLegal.com, serving lawyer and paralegal associations by offering a valuable member benefit – direct access to a global legal vendor directory – keeping the member coming back where association business is occurring,” says DiLorenzo. Mariana Fradman, president of the New York City Paralegal Association (NYCPA) believes the vendor directory provides legal teams with a valuable, time-saving tool. “The NYCPA is pleased to offer its Members direct access to the MyLegal.com directory. As paralegals, too much of our time is often spent on finding qualified legal vendors. Wading through countless Google search results, with no assurance that the person or company being hired is qualified, reputable and will charge a reasonable rate, is time consuming, inefficient and ineffective,” said Fradman. “MyLegal.com offers lawyers and paralegals a resource that aggregates all of the information we’re looking to find – products or services anywhere in the world, written reviews from other lawyers and paralegals – along with discounts and special deals. We provide a breadth of relevant content through our website. This is just one more way for our Association to keep key resources in front of our members.”

While there is no fee to search the Legal Vendor Directory, vendors pay a fee to list their services. A Basic listing costs $10 per month and includes a vendor summary, photo or logo, areas of expertise, contact information, and active links to email and website. A Premier listing costs $50 per month and offers preferred placement in the search results, links to the vendor’s social media pages, and the option to invite and share ratings and reviews, as well as a discount deal. There are currently more than 120 service categories, including eDiscovery, trial technology, court reporting, continuing legal education, forensic accounting, cloud computing, jury research and consulting, photography, process service and video conferencing, among others.
