Singer Reanna Wins 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown New Mexico State Final, To Compete at Southwest Regional Final In Raton, NM Oct. 20

New Mexico’s winner of the State Final of the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown, Reanna, is now moving on with her win and will continue in the national competition starting at 7 p.m. October 20, 2012 at the Southwest Regional Final being held in Raton, NM at the Shuler Theater, located at 131 N. 2nd St. The winner in the Raton event will move on to National Final to compete for the $100,000 grand prize. At the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown New Mexico State Final, Reanna proved worthy of the state title and $1,000. Camel Rock Casino showcased acts which had won a local contest sponsored by radio stations throughout the state enabling each to perform at the state level competition of America’s largest country music talent search. The contestant entry form for the state competition is featured on the SantaFe.com.

Reanna representing radio station KPER of Hobbs, triumphed at the state level event. Other sponsoring radio stations were: KRSY Alamogordo; KCLV Clovis, KGLX Gallup; KBKZ Raton; KQBA Santa Fe, KSSL Slaton and KTNM Tucumcari.

7 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012, Reanna will compete in the Southwest Regional Final at Shuler Theatre in Raton, NM to determine if she will advance to the National Final. Regional Winners will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Nashville to compete for $100,000 and the coveted title, “Best New Act in Country Music.”

About the Showdown: Annually, over 450 radio stations across the country sponsor local contests. Winners advance to their state events where prizes include $1,000 and the opportunity to compete in one of five Regional events. The five Regional winners receive an all-expense-paid trip to the National Final in Nashville to compete for $100,000 and the coveted title, “Best New Act in Country Music.”
