Releases New Solution for Real Estate Agents to Capitalize on Social Media

Share Article

Real Estate Agents were initially hesitant to accept and use social media, but have increased their acceptance by almost 300% in the last few years.

According to the most recent National Association of REALTORS® Technology Survey, in 2008 33% of survey respondents engaged in social media and in 2011, 91% of agents used social media. This statistic alone signifies the importance for agents to harness the power of social media to promote themselves and their properties.

In the same survey 79% of agents use Facebook, 67% use LinkedIn and 34% use Twitter. These networks each serve their own purpose and have their own benefits, but are they optimal for the Real Estate Agent to promote themselves and their properties? Generally speaking, Facebook is used for communicating with friends and family as well as product and service promotions by corporations, LinkedIn is used for networking and connecting with business associates, and Twitter is used to follow people.

What the Real Estate Agent needs to truly capitalize on Social Media is a single network that encompasses the benefits of all three of the networks above into one with a focus on real estate. Fortunately for Real Estate Agents, someone who’s been involved in the real estate industry for almost 15 years read the statistics above and decided to create that network.

“ was created with a focus on the real estate agent to provide them with the most useful tools and features to build their real estate business in today’s social and Internet driven market. Social Properties allows real estate agents to promote themselves, promote properties, promote buyers and renters, network with agents, and much more. It also allows buyers, sellers and renters to search for, follow, comment on, review or recommend properties and agents.” ~ Ryan Phillips, Founder
