Aptara Ties Hewlett Packard for the Most eLearning Awards.

This honor is particularly significant as Aptara is about to celebrate 25 years of partnering with the world’s leading organizations and delivering meaningful business outcomes, said Dev Ganesan, President and CEO of Aptara.

Designed to look like it is being viewed on a smart phone, this fun and intuitive course familiarized American Express Travel Call Center Executives with London’s Olympic venues and other main attractions.  This course also won the 2012 Gold Magellan Award.

KPMG:  Working with Specialists Course
A training course for KPMG audit staff that simulates interacting with specialists in a realistic work environment with on-demand information and instruction.

Bronze Award
KPMG:  Principles of EU VAT Law Course (Read, Learn, Apply Showcase)
A task-based, self-paced course that helps tax associates determine the Value Added Tax (VAT) for European Union (EU) transactions using resources that illustrate the EU VAT Directive.

Best Use of Social/Collaborative Learning Category:
Silver Award
Coldwell Banker: Collaborative Social Learning Portals
Designed for Coldwell Banker managers and brokers, the portals are a one-stop modern learning solution for administering training at an enterprise level.  3-D virtual worlds facilitate peer-to-peer, expert-to-peer, and L&D-user collaboration to create an environment that encourages exploration and interactive learning. The portals integrate traditional and structured learning resources including web resources and documents, Learning Management System (LMS), videos, podcasts, training resources, blogs, and discussion forums.

Best Use of Mobile Learning Category:
Silver Award
KPMG:  VAT Quest Course
A level two game designed to educate tax and accounting staff on the complexities of charging and paying VAT across borders, the course presents content through a series of conversations/tasks that are structured in a question and answer format.

Best Use of Games for Learning Category:
Bronze Award
KPMG:  Virtual Researcher Business Simulation
Designed to help tax professionals improve their research and report-drafting skills, the simulation creates an immersive environment that includes emails and chats with a virtual Tax Partner, immediate feedback for research tasks, and consolidated customized feedback based on the user’s output.
