Analysis of Ministry of Justice records in Wales by the BBC has indicated a 15% rise in repossessions, 1125 in the first four months of 2012 compared with 975 at the end of last year.
"There are multiple impacts," Steve Clarke, of the Welsh Tenants Association, told BBC Wales, "jobs, access to work, looking at rents, looking at further pressures on finances, people having to make decisions about heating, every aspect of cost we're seeing is rising, and that's having an impact on rents."
