Today, the Florida Region of USA Volleyball is excited to announce the 2nd stop of the Grass Volleyball Tour which will take place in Port St. Lucie, FL on October 27. The Pinktober Volleyfest “Serving Up A Cure” grass volleyball event will include both competitive and recreational playing divisions for adult and junior players. Partnering with the Florida Region of USA Volleyball is UPONTOP Volleyball Academy who will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the “Susan G. Komen Foundation" in efforts to fund research on fighting Breast Cancer.
The tournament will take place at the Digital Domain St. Lucie Mets Stadium. Team check-in will begin at 8:30am and play will begin at 9:00am. Teams will participate in pool play during the morning matches and then a single elimination playoff in the afternoon. Beginner, intermediate and advanced players are welcome. Prizes will be presented to the winners in each division.
Teams in the competitive division will consist of 4 players per team and are required to have 1 female on the court during play. The team fee for competitive teams will be $120 for regular registration and $200 for “VIP” registration. Teams in the recreational division will consist of 6 players per team and are required to have 2 females on the court during play. The team fee for recreational teams will be $200 for regular registration and $300 for “VIP” registration. VIP teams will be provided with t-shirts, as well as lunch, drinks and a shade tent throughout the tournament. Online registration for this event will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 25. We are honored that the Florida Region of USA Volleyball has joined forces with us and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation for our first annual “Pinktober Volleyfest” volleyball tournament.”
