The latest version of GroundWork’s flagship product includes the new GroundWork Cloud Hub, providing enhanced monitoring for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and its integrated Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) hypervisor and VMware vSphere.

GroundWork Cloud Hub offers the following:

•     Runs as an independent application with the ability to operate on a separate machine from GroundWork Monitor for additional scalability or topological flexibility.
•     Communicates with multiple cloud platforms. Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, including the KVM hypervisor, and VMware vSphere will be the first platforms supported in GroundWork Monitor 6.7, with planned expansion to other cloud platforms.
•     Queries virtualization and cloud management systems periodically to detect changes in the environment.
•     Provides discovery and auto-registration of application servers running in the cloud.
•     Provides both hypervisor and 'below the hypervisor' metrics to systems management platforms.
•     Operates in an open standards-based, web services communications and open API.
•     Included in all versions of GroundWork Monitor 6.7 and available now to both GroundWork Monitor Enterprise subscribers and users of the free GroundWork Monitor Core.

•     NoMa notification manager for agent-agnostic event notification and filtration.
•     IPMI has been added as a new method for probing hardware, giving users a way to monitor hardware when it is not responding to higher-level network protocols like TCP/IP. Additionally, sub-OS metrics can be monitored (i.e. fan speed, CPU temperature, etc.)
•     Enhanced and updated Microsoft monitoring for Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft SharePoint.
•     Easier integration with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef and CFengine.
•     Improved visualization and reporting of complex, multi-component services.
