Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University today announced that CIT Aerospace, a world leader in aircraft leasing, will help expand career opportunities for high-performing business students by offering internships throughout the year for students who participate in the Business Eagles Program in the university’s College of Business.

“An internship at CIT Aerospace gives students access to a broad learning environment where they have hands-on experience with the CIT team from day one,” said Damon J. D’Agostino, chief commercial officer of CIT Aerospace and an Embry-Riddle graduate. “Our interns could be involved with multiple aspects of complex financial transaction one day and with detailed technical reviews of commercial jet aircraft the next day – there is a lot of diversity in the experience they’ll gain while at CIT.”

He said interns have the ability to work at CIT’s offices in New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Dublin and Singapore.

“There is no better way for employers to test-drive a prospective employee than an internship,” said Dawna Rhoades, associate dean of Embry-Riddle’s College of Business. “We think our students are the Ferraris of aviation business, and want them to have the opportunity to prove it.”

“Our participation builds upon and formalizes a longstanding informal partnership that CIT Aerospace has had with Embry-Riddle and particularly the College of Business,” D’Agostino said. “It is great to see both organizations recognize the value of our partnership and develop a program that will provide real benefits for the students.”

Business students who are accepted into the Business Eagles program, who maintain all the qualifications of the program, and apply for a CIT Aerospace internship online, will have an opportunity to interview with a CIT Aerospace representative.
