"Everyone faces different challenges when it comes to resource and portfolio management,” said Jim Wetzel, Principal Consultant at Pharmica Consulting.
Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) October 11, 2012
Pharmica Consulting has long filled the role of being a life sciences expert in combining business processes to new systems and technologies. As part of its continued service to the industry, Pharmica hosted a Resource and Portfolio Management Forum on September 25th in Princeton, NJ. It was a successful day where attendees from pharma and biotech companies gathered to discuss best practices for hiring and outsourcing based on timelines, software solutions for portfolio management, and the use of algorithms to assist in the decision making process. Other popular topics at the forum included reporting, as well as strategies to gain executive buy-in.
“This forum came about as a result of common challenges we heard people were having across the industry,” said Matt Kiernan, Partner with Pharmica Consulting. “It highlighted topics, such as trends in resource and portfolio managemen t, challenges, and plans for future improvements. It was great to see everyone network and participate.”
“Everyone faces different challenges when it comes to resource and portfolio management,” said Jim Wetzel, Principal Consultant at Pharmica Consulting. “As we networked with different clients in resource management, we realized we needed the forum to be divided into two parts. One part that addresses issues mid to small size pharma companies have and one part for large pharma companies. We also addressed common questions, such as how many people to hire, how many approved studies and projects are in their portfolio, when should aligorithms be utilized, and many more.”
“This forum was our way of helping to bring industry members together so they can exchange ideas and war stories,” said Matt Kiernan. “For Pharmica Consulting, it was an energizing day to roll up our sleeves, share our experiences, and work with the industry members to create innovative solutions. As the attendees requested, we will be doing a follow-up forum where everyone is going to share their experience through examples. Stay tuned.”
