Our community grows stronger when we support local charities

Heron Creek Golf and Country Club as well as The Golf Academy at Heron Creek have awarded Don Gasgarth’s Charlotte County Ford with an appreciation award for their significant charitable contributions over the past two decades. For those unfamiliar with Charlotte County Ford, it could be said that they are the used car dealer restoring the used car salesman’s good name as they champion a higher priority than selling the nicest cars in the county. For 22 years, their wholehearted gifting of prizes for the county’s 6 Hole-in-One charity fundraiser tournaments has landed them at the heart of the fundraiser’s success. Despite economically difficult times, Charlotte County Ford has made it their business to ensure that the charities have the prizes they need to continue to bring in the participants and donations that make each fundraiser a triumph for the community.

In this year (2012) alone, Charlotte County Ford has sponsored 37 charity events in the county, providing the prizes and incentives for participation. These incentives are not knock-off rewards either! Charlotte County Ford has provided the “Free Car” (a free two year lease) for the “Car Giveaway” that happens at each Hole-in-One tournament. They have also sponsored prizes that include incredible trips to places like Tree Tops in Michigan, The Peabody in Tennessee and other incredible locations.

Charlotte County Ford and the Hole-in-One tournaments are not selective with their sponsorship either; supporting causes like the North Port Police Department with their Shop with a Cop fundraiser, the North Port Fire Fighters Benevolent Association, as well as preschools, the Elks, Chambers of Commerce and the Heron Creek Community Foundation. The significant contributions of this company have made a mark in the community, exciting more to participate in the tournaments with the knowledge that, not only are the rewards worth it, but they are part of a team with real commitment to bettering the Charlotte County community.
