Rapide have taken their first steps towards international expansion after Managing Director Nigel Shanahan was chosen to take part in an exclusive scholarship programme, offered by the highly prestigious Kellogg School of Management, based in Chicago, IL.

The school, widely regarded as one of the top business academies in the world, selected Shanahan to take part in the programme entitled ‘winning and competing in the U.S market', which is designed to offer UK business leaders the chance to gain practical knowledge from their stateside peers before taking their first steps towards breaking the U.S. market.

As a global leader in management education the school boasts an illustrious list of faculty members including Nobel Prize winner Roger Myerson and leading marketing guru Phillip Kotler.

Focussed sessions on U.S. business culture, legal and regulatory differences, marketing and brand awareness and best practice have enabled Shanahan to gain an intricate understanding of how to make Rapide’s imminent U.S. launch a success, whilst also opening up a number of strategic partnership possibilities through networking on the course.

Shanahan commented: “It was a privilege to be asked to take part in such a well respected programme. Rapide will be embarking upon a strategic USA launch in early 2013.
