The Berkshire-based start up scooped a total of three awards announced at an awards dinner on Friday 26 October.
The three awards include:
- British Invention of the Year
- British Inventor of the Year
- International Consumer Invention of the Year (platinum).
AlphaBlue Parent also received a special award from the International Innovation Club for Best Innovation of the Year, and an invitation to next year’s Archimedes Invention salon in Moscow.
On winning the award, Graeme Menday, founder of AlphaBlue Apps, said: ‘To win these awards is just unbelievable. I’m just a dad who was worried about how long my son spent on his mobile, and I just knew other parents felt the same.’
The British Invention of the Year award is a much coveted annual contest that is judged by a panel of experts on behalf of the British Inventor's Society.
AlphaBlue Parent is currently offering a 14 day free trial. Visit http://www.alphablueparent.com for further information.
Notes to Editors
AlphaBlue Parent is an online solution that enables parents or guardians to control and manage when their child has access to their mobile phone.
It works by letting parents set timed restrictions on their child’s mobile phone stopping access to functionalities such as incoming and outgoing calls, texts, BBM, internet, Facebook and Twitter while still allowing access to educational tools such as calculator, calendar, notes.
These restrictions can be set during school hours or after a certain time at night. The app also has the flexibility of allowing parents to add key emergency telephone numbers so a child can contact or be contacted by a parent even when the phone is in restrictive mode.
AlphaBlue Parent is operated via an easy to use control panel on the AlphaBlue website.
