Counterpoint Systems has recognized two of its key members of management with well-deserved promotions: Ben Clasper to Senior Vice President, Sales and Product Strategy and Jennifer Johnson to Vice President, Global Client Services and Manager of Operations for its U.S. office.
Clasper’s promotion reflects his leadership and dedication to Counterpoint Systems for over 15 years. “Ben is an integral member of the senior management team,” says Amos Biegun, CEO of Counterpoint. “His influence can be felt throughout the organization and in all of the successful solutions we’ve deployed during his tenure.”
Ben came on board in 1998 to lead the development of Movie Maestro, Counterpoint Systems’ first product for the film and television industries. He subsequently oversaw its launch in Europe and North America, as well as its further development into the Media Maestro Suite, the industry’s only enterprise class application for comprehensive rights and royalties management.
“We are very fortunate to have someone like Ben on board. Under his direction, Media Maestro has become the market-leading solution for a number of industries. Initially designed for independent film distributors, it is today employed by major film studios, broadcasters, gaming companies and content aggregators worldwide” added Biegun.
Clasper was also instrumental in the deployment of the company’s second generation consumer and brand licensing solution: License Maestro. Launched in 2011, License Maestro is quickly becoming the de facto standard with licensors, licensees, and agents who are looking for an intuitive interface for managing contracts, licenses and their associated royalties.
Jennifer Johnson, a six year veteran of Counterpoint, will step up her current Global Client Services role to encompass the day to day management of Counterpoint’s U.S. operations. “Jennifer’s promotion represents a logical progression in her evolution with Counterpoint and speaks volumes for her loyalty and strong leadership during her tenure with the company,” says Biegun. “As we have grown to be the largest supplier of rights management and royalties software in all of the industries that we service, we needed someone with Jennifer’s “can-do” ability to run our ever growing US business. Jennifer is a natural leader and knows how to leverage the talents of those on the Counterpoint team in a manner that allows us to lead the market,” he continued.
Jennifer will continue to oversee the Global Client Services team at Counterpoint Systems; ensuring the efficient delivery and effective support of Counterpoint’s solutions across the media and entertainment, consumer and brand licensing, and music industries.
