The New Premiere Brand of Stone Equipment in the USA is Poseidon Industries, offering a wide range of bridge saws, cnc routers for stone, and edge machines for stone.

Most bridge saws for cutting granite and marble have gantries made of hollow carbon steel tubes or pipes. However, the fact is that there is nothing more precise than a cast-iron bridge constructions. The most globally recognized makers of bridge saws such as Breton, GMM, Terzago, and Zonato, have cast-iron bridges. Now, Poseidon has joined the line of a select few machine makers with an 8500 lbs cast-iron gantry on its new mode: the PT 7000. "We feel that we needed to offer high stability on this level model for precise cutting, low vibration, and low maintenance/wear-and-tear on the machine," shares Joe Alva, Director of Poseidon manufacturing. "Our guides are prismatic cast-iron material and they are also completely protected by covers that run on the rails and gantry." This is a large advantage and increases the life of the machine's mechanical system. Most models out on the market have an "exposed" mechanical system which increases significantly wear-and-tear on bridge saws. This is 1 of the many things Poseidon does differently.

As a USA manufacturer, Poseidon Machinery offers full technical service and know-how. "We are responsible for all construction of our machinery, from concept to finished product," states Joe. It's a privilege to say that we are making many of our models here in the USA. All machines are finished here. In order to bring value at a great price to our customers, some structures are made overseas. We are trying to get back to having everything made here in the USA," emphasizes Joe.

Another one of the main features on the PT-7000 models is that it is one of the few granite bridge saws that has such a fully-automated, completely hydraulically controlled tables. "Our hydraulic tilt-table is pretty much like its own separate machine. It has its own controls and all hydraulic solenoid valves are powered by push-button," enthuses Joe. This makes it extremely easy for an operator to reach his desired degree position by activating easy-to-use "clockwise" and "counter-clockwise" push-buttons on a separate control for just the table. Upon release of these of either button, the table automatically locks via hydraulic vertical friction pistons in any position, a feature found on almost no other brand of stone machinery. Poseidon Machinery delivers great value with its high-quality cast-iron casing which holds the main cutting motor that has 23.5 Horses of Power behind it. It can also mount up to a 22" blade diameter. "We also make CNC Routers for stone with 24 Horsepower spindles. Natural stone is heavy and tough, so our equipment needs to be tougher. Our bridge saws need to be just as awesome as our CNC Router Machines which are 3, 4, or 5 axis stone machines," says Joe.

And when automation is needed, the PT-7000 delivers with a standard cutting program built-in. "We have a system that takes in the operator's measurement, whether in inches or millimeters, and executes that cut however many times the operator desires. For example, if you would like to execute a 4" cut from the front of the table ten times going towards the back of the table so you end up with 10 pieces-all the length of the slab by 4" high, then you just plug in the number 4, then the number 10 and its a done deal! Our machines are within tenths of a millimeter in tolerance," explains Joe.

Poseidon Machinery, located in Punta Gorda, FL always keeps one of the largest inventories of stone machinery on hand in North America. They can be easily reached by visiting their website by clicking here.
