When the best digital thinkers in the Ohio Valley region came together on October 23-24 for the annual Digital Non-Conference, it was no surprise that two members of the LFI staff were selected to present to non-conference goers. And Vice President of Media + Marketing Christy Belden and Public Relations and Social Media Strategist Sarah Pritts were ready to deliver.
The two LFI experts presented on digital trends currently in high visibility. Pritts presentation, “Social Media: Method Over Madness”, focused on the need for strategic thinking in social media execution. Pritts also discussed the benefits of applying traditional PR strategy to the social media landscape.
Belden’s presentation, “Mobile Marketing Trends – Think SoLoMo”, gave attendees insight into leveraging social media, location based media, and mobile devices to effectively target and communicate with customers. Belden also explained the opportunities companies have to use location-based social media networks to connect on a one-on-one basis with their clientele.
“Presenting at the Digital Non-Conference was a great experience for both Sarah and I,” Belden said. “It was great to speak alongside such experienced and talented professionals. We hope to continue our relationship with the Non-Conference in years to come.”
The Digital Non-Conference began in 2007 when the Cincinnati chapter of the American Advertising Federation hoped to spotlight the digital talent in the Cincinnati and Ohio Valley areas. Since then, the conference has grown. Keynote speakers during the two-day conference included Jason Dailey (Director of Bing Evangelism), Jessica Rappaport (VP Marketing at E.W. Scripps), David Payne (Chief Digital Officer at Gannett Co.), and Dan Reynolds (Creative Director, Media Design at Landor in Cincinnati). Pritts and Belden presented during two of the event’s break out sessions, focused on social media and mobile marketing.
Members of the LFI Media + Marketing team also attended the conference, attending breakout sessions that included Pinterest strategy development, monetizing social media, and integrating social media in to existing sales and marketing strategies.
