The Metropolitan Ballroom, which supports many key community events in Charlotte, is pleased to be an integral part of this year’s YMCA's "Ballroom Battle" Fundraiser, a special Symphony event in January 2013 (Dedicated to Ballroom Dancing), plus two other exciting Ballroom programs.

The Metropolitan Ballroom, is pleased to be an integral part of 4 major events in the next three months in Charlotte North Carolina. The Charlotte studio takes it to the next level as they announce "4 On The Floor". Four not to be missed opportunities to see ballroom dancing at it's finest! Events start November 3, 2012 and go through to the new year.

Owners Jim Manly, Monette Manly, and Clement Joly are passionate about bringing top notch ballroom dancing to the city of Charlotte. “These exciting events are great examples of that commitment,” proclaims Manly. "We just had an authentic Argentinian Tango Quartet in our facility last weekend, he continued, and now we have four more opportunities to introduce Dancing of All kinds to the people who have interest in the Charlotte area."

Event 1. November 3, 2012. "Ballroom Battle, Dancing for a Cause" The YMCA raises money every year for Under-priviledged Kids in a "Dancing with the Stars" type competition.The Metropolitan Ballroom’s staff has been training 10 City dignitaries to compete against one another in a fun filled event the evening on Saturday, November 3, 2012 (some tickets still available). Metropolitan Ballroom's own professional instructors Clement Joly, Tatiana Kazakova, Nickolai Keanov, Barbie Petrea , Ranko Bogosavac , Darinka Divljak have coached and expertly choreographed each contestant in several Dance routines including: Foxtrot, Quickstep, Jive, Samba, Tango, American Rumba and International Cha-Cha. The city leaders then compete for the grand prize at an elegant formal dinner and dance. Proceeds benefit the YMCA Community Support Campaign.

Event 2. November 29, 2012. "Dancing with the Stars" celebrity Jonathan Roberts demonstrates his own amazing talent while providing a special coaching and instruction session for select members of the Dance Community.

Event 3. December 21, 2012. Twice a year Metropolitan Ballroom showcases their students. These are always wonderful events featuring not only the professional instructors, but inspired students as well. This year the showcase features the music and dances of the decades, from the Roaring 20s to today. A holiday treat!

Event 4. January 25, 2012. Jacomo Rafael Bairos Conducts the Charlotte Symphony as Metropolitan Ballroom dancers waltz, rumba, samba, and tango in this high energy concert at the Knight Theatre. Concert goers are encouraged to wear their fancy shoes and move their fancy feet at a post-concert dance party. Come at 6:30pm for light hors d’oeuvre catered by DEAN & DELUCA. Stay after the concert for an impromptu dance party and mingling with other concertgoers! These concerts are frequently sold-out so get your tickets now.
