Enhanced official mobile and tablet applications by XOS Digital are now free for fans.

The SEC Digital Network continues to transform the way fans interact with sports content with the release of the upgraded SEC mobile and tablet application.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) and XOS Digital, Inc., the leading provider of content management solutions and digital media services for collegiate and professional sports organizations, jointly announced today the release of the upgraded SEC mobile and tablet applications, both free for fans to download on behalf of PNC Bank. With new and expanded features, the app provides fans with full coverage of the SEC and is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

“We are pleased to bring SEC fans a new and improved mobile and tablet application with additional features for the 2012-13 season,” said SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. “We expect a significant increase in downloads for the tablet app, available to fans for free for the first time.”

Through the SEC Digital Network partnership with PNC Bank, the $4.99 cost of the tablet app is now free for all fans to download.

The SEC mobile and tablet application, developed by XOS Digital, has been largely upgraded for the 2012-13 season. The newest version of the app features the latest conference news, updates and video highlights for all games. Fans may also access their “My Library” accounts through the official conference app. Additional features include:

  •     Original video programming including SEC Today, Countdown to Kickoff and GameDay Central
  •     SEC team schedules and rosters for all conference sports
  •     Video preview of each SEC game
  •     Post-game programs following every football game

  •     Live audio for events and interviews

Throughout the season, the SEC Digital Network will be hosting the legendary Vince Dooley every Friday morning at 10 a.m. EST for SEC Kickoff with Vince Dooley. This new show will include a full weekend TV schedule, post-game highlights from the week’s biggest games, analysis on the upcoming week, conference news, player interviews, head coach interviews and classic flashbacks.
