Guidelines Offer Latest Treatments and Medical Information on Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma Article Source: Baron & Budd, P.C. Sponsors Mesothelioma Patient Guidelines from NCCN | Baron & Budd

Baron and Budd, a national mesothelioma law firm, has generously underwritten the mesothelioma patient guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) for patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma. Baron and Budd, mesothelioma lawyers, provided a generous donation to allow the printing and distribution of the resource guide, which is a translation of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines ™) for Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma, materials created specifically for physicians, into patient-friendly materials. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients™ for Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma were created to help people battling mesothelioma and their families better understand this horrible asbestos cancer and the treatment options that are now available for patients.

“As a mesothelioma law firm committed to helping people and families who have been harmed by asbestos cancers, such as mesothelioma, we understand how important it is for people to fully understand their treatment options just as they need to understand their legal options,” said president and managing shareholder of Baron and Budd and board member of the NCCN Foundation, Russell Budd. “We are proud to help bring such a valuable resource to mesothelioma patients.”

The NCCN Guidelines™ are developed by a multidisciplinary panel of medical experts from NCCN Member Institutions. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients™ translate these clinical guidelines in a step-by-step guide for patients to use to help make effective treatment decisions and discuss treatment options with their doctors.

Dedicated to the many asbestos and mesothelioma clients Baron and Budd mesothelioma lawyers have represented throughout the firm’s nearly 35 year history, the NCCN Guidelines for Patients™ focus on helping patients understand mesothelioma cancer and offering information on treatment options tailored to a patient’s individual needs. Treatment options discussed in the guidelines include chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. The guidelines also include a comprehensive step-by-step guide to navigating your malignant pleural mesothelioma treatment, covering all stages of mesothelioma.

Baron and Budd mesothelioma lawyers were some of the first in the United States to successfully handle a mesothelioma lawsuit. Mr. Russell Budd, firm founder, is a board member of the NCCN Foundation. The mesothelioma firm was a cornerstone donor of the International Mesothelioma Program (IMP) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and served on IMP’s Executive Advisory Board. The mesothelioma attorneys at Baron and Budd are also 2012 Platinum-level sponsors of the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) and the Lung Cancer Alliance. The firm previously sponsored the book Understanding Mesothelioma from CURE magazine. Request your free copy of the NCCN Patient Guidelines for Mesothelioma at 1.866.855.1229 or at
