"This site encourages consumers to take positive action to resolve IRS issues before they become overwhelming,,,", the consumer website that provides information, resources, and videos to help consumers in need of help to resolve back taxes, introduced a video help center to assist taxpayers.

“Initially, the Video Help Center includes educational videos produced on the subject of IRS Collection Letters, IRS Tax Relief Options, Innocent Spouse Provisions, and more,” said Walter Burch, Editor-in-Chief of “In the coming months, we will add additional videos to assist taxpayers better understand such topics as IRS Installment Agreements, Offer in Compromise, Bank Levy, Wage Garnishment, IRS Tax Lien and additional issues of concern,” Burch added.

The Importance of Responding to IRS Letters and Notices

For consumers who fall behind with the IRS on either personal or business taxes, the Tax Relief Center offers a wealth of information and resources to educate and motivate consumers as to the importance of being proactive in resolving IRS tax debt. “Many taxpayers who owe the IRS back taxes often become fearful to the point that they ignore the problem – hoping it will go away. This site encourages consumers to take positive action to resolve IRS issues before they become overwhelming with penalties, interest, and enforcement actions that can become very stressful,” said Burch.

The IRS Offers a Variety of Legal Tax Relief Options to Taxpayers

The Tax Relief Center includes information regarding IRS collection measures such as wage garnishments, tax liens, and bank levies -- all IRS enforcement actions intended to get the taxpayer’s attention so that back taxes can be resolved through any of a number of legal tax relief options – such as installment agreements, offers in compromise, innocent spouse provisions, currently not collectible provisions, and more. Additionally, for those taxpayers who have an ongoing issue with the IRS that has not been resolved through normal processes, or for those facing a serious financial hardship as a result of, what the IRS terms “the administration of tax laws” – the IRS offers a Taxpayer Advocate Service with offices in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
