Back by popular demand is the high energy Bear Mountain Resort Skateboard Vert Ramp ready to thrill the Ski Dazzle® audience this November. The X-Games and World Cup Skate Tour emcee Dave Duncan brings world class skaters & BMX riders to the event, which include national and internationally ranked athletes.

This year’s confirmed athletes include: Chris Gentry, Danny Mayer, Sergie Ventura, Josh Borden, Josh Rodriguez, Austin Poynter (the 2012 Vans Combi Pool Amateur champion), Michael Brookman, Lizzie Armanto (#1 vert girl in the world for 2012), Allysha Bergado, Amelia Brodka, the Groms (Justin Rivera, Travis Rivera and Trent Bowman) and BMX pro riders (XGames medalists): Simon Tabron, Ben Snowden and Austin Coleman. These athletes take to the vert ramp daily to show off their signature moves and their eye-popping stunts. Past vert performers and Ski Dazzle® supporters included Jake Brown, Rune Glifberg, Tom Schaar, Neal Hendrix, Christian Hosoi, Lincoln Ueda, Mike Crum, Pierre Luc 'PLG' Gagnon; and BMX riders Francisco “Coco” Zarita and Rick Thorne.

Celebrating its 49th year, Ski Dazzle - The Los Angeles Ski Show & Snowboard Expo® is coming to LA for four days only (November 15 – 18, 2012) located at the Los Angeles Convention Center – South Hall (1201 South Figueroa Street).

This year’s show will feature incredible shopping bargains and money-saving specials with more than 200 exhibit booths showcasing ski and snowboard retailers as well as over 65 local, national and international winter resorts. Don’t miss the Ski Dazzle® Sale $6 Million Dollar event, where attendees can save hundreds of dollars on current and past season gear for adults and children provided by local retailers and industry vendors.

This family-friendly show will feature season pass and lift ticket specials, free entertainment and film previews. Daily events include: continuous free ski lessons on a 60 foot Snow Summit Ski School ramp; a giant free climbing wall; a 40x50 an ice-skating rink, Ski Dazzle® – Taste Of Winter™ cooking demos featuring Executive Chef Brett Lewis of the Los Angeles Convention and an Aprés Ski Beer & Wine Tasting event with 22 craft beers and wines to choose from.

Ski Dazzle’s visitors will have a chance to give back this year. Ski Dazzle’s selected charity Make A Hero will benefit from a LIVE and silent auction at the show Supported by actors Morgan Freeman, Robert Redford and ski film legend Warren Miller, Make A Hero’s mission is to grow awareness and generate financial support for individuals with disabilities. Hollywood and winter sports celebrities will present one-of-a-kind trips, ski equipment and experiences that anyone can bid on during the silent auction at the Make A Hero booth. On Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8pm, the LIVE Celebrity Auction will be on stage at Ski Dazzle where celebrities and surprise guests get serious about having fun and giving back.

The Make A Hero booth will also feature special guests and previews of the film, The Movement. This film was accepted into over 20 film festivals including Sundance and nominated for seven Maverick Movie awards including Best Picture, Chronicle, Editing, Performance, Score, Sound Editing and Soundtrack. The Movement is an inspiring documentary narrated by film legends, Robert Redford and Warren Miller.

New this year is The Great Ski Dazzle® Slalom Race, which is sponsored by SkyTech Sport. Attendees will have a chance to step onto an Olympic team training machine and into a virtual Slalom race course. SkyTech Sport offers cutting edge European technology and engineering on this machine that actually can control the snow conditions and speed. Skiers and snowboarders can actually experience carving control and the power of the turn. It is just like skiing a Slalom course in "real mountain" time. This is not a video game but a high tech, powerful and unique training tool that is being embraced by both amateur and professional athletes and coaches. The SkyTech Sport machine is featured all four days at the Ski Dazzle® show. Attendees can sign up for a free introductory lesson and can take a timed run to qualify in The Great Ski Dazzle® Slalom Race.
