from its joys and sorrows, its desires fulfilled and unfulfilled, and the eventual spirituality that has designed all that has been created in me.
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 05, 2012
“I received inspiration from an admiration of poets/writers who I encountered from literature classes at high school and college,” Bobby Waddell Kellum explains. He was however, like many writers, most influenced by his own life experiences, “from its joys and sorrows, its desires fulfilled and unfulfilled, and the eventual spirituality that has designed all that has been created in me.” It was this inspiration that he shares in his book observing life through verse, “A Life in Poetry” (published by AuthorHouse).
An excerpt from “A Life in Poetry”:
Seeing that our paths are destined to cross,
We by instinct maneuvered so that no time is lost
To clear each others way adjusting on either side,
As that point was reached so that we do not collide.
With an acute acknowledgment from eye to eye
As we without accident past and I asked why,
Since nothing is by chance
I wondered at each quick glance.
What the meaning was of this encounter
Did God decide you and I make silent banter?
“It is a reverent expression of my life; demonstrating an awareness of the love of God and its expressions on that which I have encountered.”
Kellum hopes his words invoke in readers an awareness in life and a recognition of the universal kinship in the quest of love.
