True happiness can be found from within
WORCESTER, Mass. (PRWEB) November 05, 2012
“People come and go in our lives. Over the years I have come to define those who touch our souls as heroes, mentors or friends, but in reality, I believe they are spiritual guides sent to us by a higher power,” says John Dowd, Jr., author of the new book, “Heroes, Mentors, and Friends: Learning from Our Spiritual Guides” (published by Balboa Press). “Once we recognize their inherent divinity and open to their influence, our spirits resonate at a higher level.”
Recognizing this divine power – as well as opening up to it – is at the center of “Heroes, Mentors, and Friends.” While giving the reader a profound insight into these guides, Dowd’s book also presents heartwarming stories of courage, small acts of kindness and, most of all, love, all with the purpose of enlightening readers to the power already in play in their lives.
“I was inspired to write the book to at first serve as inspiration to the thousands of out-of-work broadcasters,” explains Dowd. “I then felt that the concepts in the book could serve as inspiration to all that seek happiness. Americans need hope and inspiration to cope with the current state of the economy, the fast pace of our lives and the current feeling of uncertainty. True happiness can be found from within.”
