As dry skin season comes into full swing, Likewise Skincare releases a statement.

On November 6, 2012, the skincare brand Likewise Skincare responds to an article published by FOX Charlotte and releases a statement as the dry skin season arrives.

According to Jacinda Garabito, author of the FOX Charlotte article, dry skin season has arrived. “The low humidity we see during the winter means you can expect dry air until March or April. Some tips to avoid getting dry skin are first, do not take hot showers, take cooler, shorter showers and use less body wash. Double up on chap stick and moisturizer throughout the day. If you’re still experiencing dry skin consider getting a humidifier for your home,” explains Garabito.

Lisa Shariat, a representative of Likewise Skincare, weighs in by stating, “Dry irritated skin is not at all uncommon, especially during this time of year. But it’s important to treat it properly. Make sure that when you do use moisturizer, you are using the right kind. Even if you normally have oily skin, you may need a moisturizer more suited for dry skin during this time of year. This is why Likewise Skincare has a line of moisturizers suited to different skin types; because we know that skincare is not one-kind-fits-all and certainly must adapt for extenuating circumstances.”

Likewise Skincare was founded by board-certified dermatologist and President of Likewise, Inc., Dr. Julie Pena. Likewise daily moisturizers are all-in-one but not one-fits-all. Each moisturizer is created with skin-balancing toners to work with your unique skin type. The moisturizers use a combination of anti-aging antioxidants, ultra-protective zinc oxide and water-resistant ingredients to keep you protected.
