While a great travesty did happen to me, I want to encourage everyone to ‘Keep on going’ after they read this book!

If someone stole $3.5 million from you after surgery, who would fight for your justice?
Inspired by a true story, the new book Travesty, by Margie Shepherd, shares a story of greed, crime and betrayal.
After undergoing breast reconstruction surgery, Margie Shepherd was abducted from her recovery room by a nurse. Three days later, she awoke in a strange hotel room with more than $19,000 missing from her checking account, which soon ballooned to a loss of over $3.5 million.
In her new book, she outlines her fight for justice to retrieve her stolen funds working with lawyers, investigators, police, physicians and bank executives.
“The word ‘No’ does not exist to me,” says Shepherd. “While a great travesty did happen to me, I want to encourage everyone to ‘Keep on going’ after they read this book!”
Shepherd is confident that Travesty will motivate readers to address the challenges they face in life including fighting for justice from individuals and institutions to take responsibility for their actions.
“Travesty provides proven knowledge and at the same time draws each individual one step closer to regaining inner strength, great clarity and restoration of their dignity when plagued by adversity and challenged by difficulties in life,” says Shepherd.
