Despite the potential for ongoing turmoil in the world’s financial markets, the cleantech industry is expected to thrive.
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) November 06, 2012
What kind of work does a clean energy technician perform? What kinds of clean jobs are available? What is it like to be a student at Ecotech Institute? Prospective students can learn about opportunities available and training required for green jobs in solar energy, wind energy and renewable electrical energy at a Clean Jobs Boot Camp this Friday, November 9, at the Ecotech Institute campus in Denver.
"The Clean Jobs Boot Camp is a great way to get a comprehensive view of the cleantech industry," said Michael Seifert, president of Ecotech Institute, the first and only college entirely focused on preparing America's workforce for careers in renewable energy and sustainability. "The event is free and includes a personalized tour, opportunities to participate in exciting interactive lab sessions, plus a chance to meet our faculty and learn why cleantech is so important to our future."
Reservations for the Ecotech Clean Jobs Boot Camp are highly recommended and space is limited. Interested individuals are advised to call 877-326-5576 to reserve their place.
According to research recently commissioned by the government of Germany, the global cleantech market will more than double to 4.4 trillion euros (5.75 trillion USD) by 2025. The German study, conducted by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, also stated that despite the potential for ongoing turmoil in the world’s financial markets, the cleantech industry is expected to thrive. “That’s great news for potential students, and it should give them added confidence about choosing to pursue a career in the cleantech industry," said Seifert.
Ecotech Institute opened near Denver, Colorado in April 2010 and the first class of students graduated in June. Currently, over 500 students are enrolled in renewable energy programs at the Denver campus. Seifert noted that demand for the first class of Ecotech Institute graduates was great, and that grads are getting high marks from their new employers.
"Hiring managers have cited the job readiness of our graduates as a big plus,” said Seifert. Many graduates have found positions in their chosen fields of wind energy technology, solar energy, renewable energy, and electrical engineering technology.
“We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about the industry and our programs to contact us directly,” said Seifert. "If you are unable to attend the Boot Camp offering on November 9, there will be other events in the future, and it's never too early to start investigating your career opportunities in renewable energy and cleantech."
