Taylor-Wharton International, LLC (“TWI” or the “Company”), a world-leading technology, service and manufacturing network for gas applications involving pressure vessels and precision valves, has announced promotions and additions within its CryoScience Management Team. CryoScience is one of three Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics, LLC (“TW Cryogenics”) business units. (The other two business units are Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Industrial.)
Andrew Pazahanick has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the CryoScience business unit. Pazahanick has been with TWI for 11 years and has held various senior sales and management positions.
“Two years ago, we made the decision to operate CryoScience as a stand-alone business,” said Eric Rottier, CEO of TWI. “We have seen significant global growth during this time, and Andy has led this effort. Andy is the right person to lead this continued strategic growth effort for years to come,” Rottier said.
The recent CryoScience growth initiatives include the addition of significant production capacity at the Theodore, Ala., facility; opening of a new training facility; increased CryoScience branding and marketing; and build-out of a new management team.
“2013 is expected to bring additional growth in CryoScience, and we will continue to look at expanding our global distributor platform, introduce new products, and make additional strategic hires,” said Pazahanick.
The new CryoScience management team:
Jaydeep “Jay” Anand has been hired as CryoScience Country Manager – Asia and Middle East. Anand brings 17 years of global (U.S., India, Japan, China, Singapore, and Malaysia) development, manufacturing and operations experience in the electronics and medical gases and life science equipment industries. Anand holds an MBA from Cornell University and an engineering degree from University of Poona in India.
“Jay will be responsible for the commercial development of our CryoScience program in Asia and the Middle East, and he has a proven track record in developing effective distributor platforms and growing businesses,” Pazahanick said.
Matt Seeds has been promoted to the newly created position of Global CryoScience Customer Service Manager. Seeds brings 22 years of industry experience: nine years with TW Cryogenics as CryoScience Product Manager, Portable Product Specialist, Customer Service Manager, and Bulk Business Unit Manager; and 13 years with a major U.S. gas company in various managerial and sales roles for specialty and medical gases and cryogenic equipment. Seeds graduated from Washington State University with a degree in business management.
“Matt brings a great deal of success and experience to the global CryoScience business unit,” said Pazahanick. “He will focus on organizing, training, and expanding our Customer Service group with the goal of setting new industry standards.”
Melvin Murray has been hired as CryoScience Manufacturing & Process Engineer at the Theodore, Ala., facility. Murray has 16 years of experience as manufacturing and industrial engineer in the automotive, ball bearing, and consumer products industries. He holds a graduate degree in industrial engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Pazahanick said, “Melvin will focus on our CryoScience manufacturing product lines and, with his vast experience, will help optimize efficiencies and increase productivity for our growing global business.”
