We hope this party night provides a welcome relief from the day-to-day challenges of caring for abandoned and abused animals, the all-night watching and waiting and the continuous fundraising. It's stressful and it's easy to lose yourself in it.
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) November 04, 2012
On Saturday evening, December 8th, Kitsilano Kitty's Closet, an online fashion reseller, is hosting a party night to raise awareness for 'Project Doggie Jacket' which is raising money for five amazing animal rescue organizations which are run by volunteers and donations only and Sky Monster, a punk rock Papillion in need of surgery.
Especially welcome are volunteers and members of the recipient charities: Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue, Small Animal Rescue Society BC, CritterAid Summerland, Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary and the Friends of Animals Nea Filadelphia to attend and network with other like minded individuals to share experiences, knowledge and tips.
"Everyone at Kitsilano Kitty's Closet volunteers and supports animal rescue and animal welfare causes and we know how little time that leaves for socializing and just enjoying some time away. We hope this party night provides a welcome relief from the day-to-day challenges of caring for abandoned and abused animals, the all-night watching and waiting and the continuous fundraising. It's stressful and it's easy to lose yourself in it." says Helen Siwak, President of Kitsilano Kitty's Closet.
Door is $15 ($5 to the BC animal rescue of your choice, $5 to the Friends of Animals NF, $5 promotions, beverages and snacks) , and includes a free doggie jacket and complimentary beverage. There will also be a pet food donation box at the entry for your generosity.
As part of the Silent Auction, there will be 13 handpainted/decorated Goochie Poochie doggie jackets by local artists and celebrities for your bidding enjoyment. Artists include 12 Midnite, RotNHell, Pilar Alvarez, Brigitta Kocsis, Elizabeth Fisher, Megz Majewski, Andrea Tucker with more artist announcements coming soon.
