Columbia, Missouri (PRWEB) November 04, 2012
Due to the effects Superstorm Sandy has had on the New York City area, StorageMart has announced changes to the time table of its “Draw My Favorite Teacher” contest, currently being conducted with public schools in Brooklyn, New York and Oakland, California.
While StorageMart was fortunate not to see any significant damage to any of its stores located in the Sandy-affected areas, the effect on the region as a whole has been devastating. One of the aftereffects has been an interruption of the school year in New York City. As a result, the voting period for the “Draw My Favorite Teacher” contest, which was to have begun Monday, November 5, has been pushed back. The new schedule for the contest is as follows:
- Entries for the contest must be postmarked November 12 or earlier
- Finalists will be chosen and the public voting period will begun November 19, running through December 2
- Winners will be notified December 3 with prizes to be distributed the week of December 10
So as to maintain uniformity with the contest, this new time table will apply to the “Draw My Favorite Teacher” promotion being conducted with Oakland public schools as well.
Due to the extended timetable, public schools in Brooklyn and Oakland which haven’t submitted entries for the contest have additional time to do so. For information regarding the promotion please contact Jeff Trotter at jeffrey(dot)trotter(at)storage-mart(dot)com.
