Social media agency, fishbat, Inc., “Lends a Fin” with Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts and Island Harvest

On November 8, 2012, social media agency, fishbat, Inc., releases a new installment of their video press release series, fishbat Splash, regarding Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

According to fishbat, Inc. COO and fishbat Splash host, Scott Darrohn, the social media agency is acting as an official drop off point for non-perishable goods to go to Island Harvest, a non-profit organization with offices located in Mineola, New York. Island Harvest is the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island.

Island Harvest has been working diligently to get food where it is needed most in response to the effects of the Hurricane. They have begun distributing 20,000 sandwiches and drinks to individuals and, according to their Facebook page, that is only the beginning.

“If you’re in the Bohemia area, fishbat is opening its doors to the public – accepting donations for the hunger relief effort. We are also fully operational with power and Wi-Fi and are serving as a charging station and offering workspace to businesses and residents who need work space or a safe place to stay,” states Darrohn. “We are located at 25 Orville Drive, Suite 101B, Bohemia NY. We are adjacent to MacArthur Airport for anyone wishing to drop off donations or use our office. Contact us with any questions at 855-fishbat, that’s 855-347-4228.”

If you are not in the area but interested in donating to Island Harvest, they can be reached through their official website or Facebook page.

fishbat, Inc. is a full service online marketing firm. Through social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), web design, and public relations, fishbat strives as a marketing firm to raise awareness about your brand and strengthen your corporate image.
