“Don’t Dumb Me Down” remains in the UK’s Top 5 Club Chart, (with dance remixes from Mark Loverush, DJ Dutch and Monikkr), “Come Out and Play” is set to climb the charts, hot off the heels of her previous hit. “Come Out and Play” spreads the positive (and playful) message to enjoy life no matter what the day brings you. Newton comments, “I want my audience to feel lightness and a sense of flying in this song – exactly how I feel when I sing it. I love life very much and even when I’m sad I still say to myself – come out and play! Let’s all together, under any circumstances play with our positive emotions.”
Newton inherits this positive spirit from competing in numerous local and international singing contests from a young age, (where she aced them all) leading to the attention of today’s major music industry players including the likes of the JK Music Group (Julia Kurbatova and Oleg Shmelev) and Randy Jackson. Known as the “Queen of Soundtracks” in her native Ukraine, she represented her country in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, earning a respectable fourth place performing “Angel” to millions of viewers.
Promoting her two singles stateside, “Don’t Dumb Me Down” and “Come Out and Play”, Mika Newton performed at Le Souk at the infamous weekly Wolf Party on October 16th, followed by a performance at Splash on October 18th. “Come Out and Play” is available with dance remixes from Dehasse, Ray Roc, TV Noise, Timothy Alan and Loverush and Monikkr.
With Randy Jackson’s stamp of approval, Jackson clarifies, "Hot new single by a hot artist Mika Newton, Come Out and Play, get it, grab it, lets go!!”
