Los Angeles indie actress and writer gets AFM screaming with two horror/thriller movies. "Scorned" (Anna Lynn Mccord, Billy Zane), which she co-wrote with director Mark Jones ("Leprechaun", "Triloquist") and "House of Bad" directed by Jim Towns which she stars in.

Lightning Entertainment has picked up international sales duties on Scorned, a revenge thriller from Leprechaun director Mark Jones which stars Anna Lynne McCord (90210), Billy Zane (Titanic) and Viva Bianca (Spartacus). Lightning is pitching the project to buyers at AFM.

Jones co-wrote the script to Scorned with Sadie Katz after she had been cheated on in her real life, found out by seeing the text messages and keyed her cheating boyfriend's car. Jones and Katz realized her heart ache was horror magic and kept the lead character's name Sadie.

The Fatal Attraction-style plot follows the couple Sadie and Kevin (McCord and Zane) who head to her father's beach house for a romantic weekend together. All that changes when a text message from Sadie's best friend Jennifer (Bianca) to Kevin reveals the two have been having an affair. Sadie becomes bent on revenge.

Lance Thompson of Portsmouth Pictures, Charles Ison and Martin Sprock of Horse Head Pictures are producing Scorned with Hijacked producer Seth Willenson and Lightning Entertainment President Robert Beaumont executive producing.

Also look for Sadie Katz (co-writer of Scorned) to play a lead role in Jim Towns’ (STIFF, A Man with a Gun) haunted heist film House of Bad (2012) slated to be released thru BoPaul Media Worldwide in late 2012. Katz plays a wayward ex-stripper caught up with her two sisters (Heather L. Tyler and Cheryl Sands) in a scheme to steal a suitcase full of drugs and sell them in an attempt to better their situations. The plan goes wrong when they hide out in the remote mountain house they grew up in- where the ghosts of their parents and the dark events that took place there when the girls were children begin to slowly turn Sirah and her sisters against each other.
