Our customers have been impressed with the performance of our thermal column-bearing blocks, but told us they also needed a lower-strength, lower-cost product for lighter vertical loads.
Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) November 04, 2012
General Plastics Manufacturing Company will be participating in the 32nd International Association for Cold Storage Construction (IACSC) Conference and Expo November 7-10 in Orlando, Florida. It will be exhibiting jointly with its cold-storage distribution partner CSI in the Chase Doors booth, #30-31, at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The companies will spotlight the newest additions to General Plastics’ premier LAST-A-FOAM® R-9300 Thermal Column-Bearing Block Series: 25 pound-per-cubic-foot (PCF) thermal column-bearing blocks and 20 PCF thermal floor reinforcement blocks.
“With these additions, our Thermal Column-Bearing Block Series now offers a full spectrum of compressive strengths: 350, 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 1,800 psi,” announced General Plastics President Bruce Lind.
General Plastics’ new LAST-A-FOAM® R-9325 Thermal Column-Bearing Blocks provide a compressive strength of 500 psi with a density of 25 PCF. Like the rest of the R-9300 series, these blocks are designed to support heavy structural loads while maintaining thermal control within building interiors.
“Our customers have been impressed with the performance of our thermal column-bearing blocks, but told us they also needed a lower-strength, lower-cost product for lighter vertical loads,” Lind explained. “We listened and responded with our new 500-psi LAST-A-FOAM® R-9325 blocks, which are more cost-effective for less-demanding applications.”
Proven polyurethane foam thermal solutions extend from floor to roof
Also new to the series, LAST-A-FOAM® R-9320 Floor Reinforcement Blocks provide economical load-bearing shelving support inside walk-in freezers while preventing thermal energy loss between the floor and ground.
General Plastics and CSI will feature General Plastics’ entire series of thermal construction-related products for industrial facilities at IACSC, the largest annual event for cold storage and food facility contractors, warehouse operators, retailers, processors/manufacturers, engineers and industry suppliers.
In addition to its Thermal Column-Bearing and Floor Reinforcement block series, General Plastics offers thermal roof isolation blocks, which support HVAC and heavy equipment on flat-roof commercial buildings, and perimeter fall blocks, which serve as key elements within commercial and industrial roof safety systems.
“Beyond the range and consistent quality of our solutions, customers also benefit from CSI’s responsive service and ready technical expertise to help them select, spec and use the right LAST-A-FOAM® products for their particular application and project,” Lind added.
